The Speakers

Mr. Gerard Frank Sollman, RA

Mr. Sollman worked for 12 years at PwC, where he acted as audit manager for the insurance industry. From 2005 to 2016, he also managed the Competence Centre Finance of the Achmea Group (Insurance and Banking). The Competence Centre is responsible for the adequate ‘translation’ of the IFRS and Solvency II regulations to business practice.

Mr. Sollman is convinced that the concept mapping methodology can speed up and streamline complex solutions for financial specialists in the fields of IFRS and Solvency II. It will also help prepare them for ‘cooperating’ with cognitive computing. Mr. Sollman is currently developing solutions in this area.

His other focus point is at Nyenrode Business Universiteit where he is a manager and docent university teacher of Financial Reporting at the Faculty for Accountancy.
